Our speaker for the April meeting is Dr Nicholas Amor. Dr Amor is a Fellow of the Royal Historical Society, and holds the posts of Research Fellow at the University of East Anglia, and Senior Visiting Fellow at the University of Suffolk. He is also General Secretary of the Suffolk Institute of Archaeology and History. Having published extensively on the Suffolk cloth trade and the medieval history of the town of Ipswich, Dr Amor is giving a talk to our Society on another area of his interest ‘Keeping the peace in Medieval Suffolk’.

 

The meeting is open to all members of the Society and to the public, though there will be a charge for non-members.

The meeting will convene at 1.00pm for the holding of the Society’s AGM. The talk will begin at about 2.00pm. The meeting will close at no later than 3.30pm.
